A 2.9Km road project of the Addis Abeba City Road Authority (AACRA) carried out by IFH engineering is yet delayed due to reconstruction of a retention wall demolished by the Ethiopian Railway Corporation (ERC) during construction. A water pipeline, main line for the supply of Addis residents needs to be relocated is the other issue contributing to the delay. The contractor identified these obstacles for potential push on the deadline on a follow-up meeting on Dec. 21 2015.
Stretching from the Ministry of Mines through Megenagna, Aasemera St. reaching to Gollagul tower, Hailegeberesselasie St. was one of the roads delayed due to failure of the contractor Tidhar Excavation & Earth Moving Ltd in April 2013.
The redeeming agreement with IFH was signed on October 15, 2015, to be finalized on May 2016. The initial stage performance is retarded pushing further the project time line.
