Institutional development and capacity building

The Intuitional Development and Capacity Building (IDCB) Specialist will report to the Program Coordinator. He/she will lead researched and instituional development support consulting projects. . The IDCB Specialist will be responsible for defining institutional development strategies including SWOT, TNA and GAP Analysis across NGOs, governmental ministries and other community-based instituations. He/she will develop proposals on capacity building consultancy works.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce a capacity building and organisational development strategy for relevant institutions working in rural and urban poverty reduction and resilience building
• Conduct training needs assessments, GAP and SWOT analysis among the relevant institutions with the aim of developing tailored plans which will improve revenue management and understanding of poverty reduction and resilience building
• Serve as part of the senior project management team in assisting the program coordinator in identifying consulting projects in the earea of institutional capacity building
• Oversee and facliate capcity building traning projects

 

• Solid experience in Training Needs Analysis, GAP and SWOT analysis
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing multi-sectoral technical assistance and capacity building researches and programs, working with multi-deciplinary team
• Strong  experience in policy analysis for institutional development
• Excellent communication, management, planning and co-ordination skills
• Fluency in English is required
