Addis Ababa March 21/2018 Ethiopia and Mexico agreed to bolster the multifaceted cooperation, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Affairs State Minister Aklilu Hailemichael conferred with Mexico’s Director General for Africa and Middle East, Ambassador Jorge Alvarez Feuntes yesterday.
The two sides have agreed to consolidate ties in culture and tourism, trade, investment, construction and education.
The Director General said they have reached consensus on issues that would bolster bilateral ties.
Jorge Alvarez Feuntes said his country is keen to enhance bilateral relations and further collaborate with Ethiopia including in trade, investment, agriculture and other areas of mutual interest.
Mexico would like to reinforce its ties with Ethiopia by offering scholarship opportunity, and sharing experience on Diaspora mobilization, he added.
The two countries, which enjoy seven decades of diplomatic relationship, are expected to celebrate their 70th anniversary soon.
