Job Description:

Position Title:        Food Monitoring Team Leader
Duty Station:           Adama, Borena, Dire Dawa, Mekelle and Kombolcha
Employment term:   Indefinite period contingent upon funding of the JEOP program
Reports To:             Food Monitoring Coordinator

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Food Monitoring Team Leader, you will:

• Supervise the activities of JEOP and DFAP Food Monitoring Unit according to the assigned monitoring hub.
• Monitor JEOP and DFAP consortium members; follow-up on findings documenting improvements and areas which still require support.
• Mentor field monitors to ensure they’re supported in developing strong monitoring skills. 
• Implement logistical plans to support monitoring in the assigned geographic area.
• Monitor partner PDPs and distribution centers to ensure accurate commodity movement, reporting and program operation is in accordance with the agreement between CRS and partners.
• Please note: Team Leaders may be frequently requested to temporarily support monitoring activities in areas outside of the duty station, such as in Somali Region. 

Job Requirements:

Candidate’s profile:
Minimum education and work experience:Completion of 1st Degree (Social, Natural Science, Accounting) and 3 years of relevant experience, or Completion of 2nd Degree in Social, Natural Sciences, Accounting) and 1 year of relevant experience.
Competencies /Knowledge, Ability and Skill:
  •  Proven supervisory experience and ability to manage teams
  •  Experience with large logistical operations
  •  Excellent technical knowledge and experience in food monitoring
  •  Knowledge of USAID/Title II rules and regulations
  •  Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and attention to details
  •  High degree of initiative, integrity and accountability
  •  Excellent knowledge of the policies, rules and regulations of CRS /ET governing the operations of emergency food aid management
  •  Skill in report writing
  •  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  •  Skill in the use of computers and S/W related to the job
