Application Developer-I

As an International Christian Humanitarian Development organization, World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is trusted to deliver integrated programs with target communities through its 72 Area programs (APs) located in seven regional states of the country.  WVE envisions a thriving organization where our strong leadership at all levels results in improved delivery of results for children.
WVE is currently looking for candidates for Application Developer-I role. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
 

• Engage in requirements gathering, analyzing and designing  at conceptual, logical and physical data model levels for the customization and/or upgrade of in-house developed applications;
• Maintaining and upgrading existing in-house developed applications by implementing both back end/database and front end/interface coding, debugging and  testing;
• Deploying  and Testing of  the upgraded/maintained applications systems;
• Provide technical support and users trainings;
• Engage in applications integration;
• Develop proper technical documentations (Requirements Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Deployment)  and user manuals.

 

2. Qualifications Required:   BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related Field
 
3. Work Experience and Skill Required:

• Minimum  2 years hands on experience in application development using Microsoft SQL server 2005 or 2008 and Visual Studio 2005 , specifically VB.NET

Technical Training qualifications required:

• Professional training on application (Ms. Visual Studio) and database (Ms. SQL)  development
• Professional certification i.e. MCAD or MCDBAs Preferred.
